Process Manufacturing Engineer
Primary Function: Lean Manufacturing, Process Optimization and Cost Reduction

Evaluates manufacturing performance and assists operations with improving materials flow and production quality. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability and documents proper use of equipment. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing and quality of the product. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and design engineering organizations. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications of new and existing products. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.


Responsibilities Include:

> Design process manufacturing solutions and lead continuous improvements in a 24/7 manufacturing operation (Lean Manufacturing implementation)
> Conduct product quality analysis based on process improvements, and provide input to engineering and operations planning teams for Continuous     Improvement
> Analyze for and implement cost reduction methods involved in production start-up, shut-down, and scheduled PM.


Education and Experience Desired:

> BSME, BSIE or equivalent
> Experience in a manufacturing environment improving process controls and reducing costs
> Excellent verbal and written skills
> Able to work in a team environment
> Attention to detail
> 3-7 years experience

Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Member of Technical Staff
Responsibilities Include:

> Design and Analysis of complex electromechanical systems
> Piece part to large Assembly modeling in SolidWorks CAD w/ Enterprise PDM
> Thermal and Stress Finite Element Analysis of components and sub-systems
> Vacuum systems design (chambers, pumping calculations)
> Experience with motion controls for materials handling (motors encoders, drive-trains, gear boxes
> Process cooling water systems design & analysis (as applied to equipment)
> Pneumatic system design & actuator applications


Education and Experience Desired:

> BS and/or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
> Minimum of 5 years of thin-film, vacuum, or complex capital equipment design
> Understanding safety and environmental requirements for clean-rooms.
> Experience or familiarity with SolidWorks & SW EPDM.
> Good communication skills and ability to work as a team member
> Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

Design Engineers, Mechanical
Responsibilities Include:

> Design and construction of vacuum web-coating, reel-to-reel deposition systems
> Design and build of vacuum coaters and other mechanical hardware
> Design and build of laboratory tools including measurement apparatus, web handling equipment, and other deposition equipment
> Thin-film deposition hardware design
> Generation of P&IDs, project schedules and budgets
> Managing of project schedules and budgets
> Maintenance of thin film deposition systems, associated hardware, and other laboratory equipment including photolithographic processing tools,
    ion mills, and thin film characterization tools (XRD, RHEED, SEM, EDX, AFM, etc.)


Education and Experience Desired:

> BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 6 years of design experience – a must
> Experience with thin-film deposition hardware design, construction, integration and maintenance
> Experience in the generation of P&IDs, project schedules and budgets
> Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and budgets
> Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and Simulation (Heat Transfer and Vibration)

Senior Technician - Equipment, Mechanical
Responsibilities Include:

> Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment including photolithographic processing tools, high-vacuum deposition systems, and thin film     characterization tools (x-ray diffraction, AFM, SEM, profilometry, etc.)
> Primary support role in the construction, installation and setup of high vacuum deposition equipment and other laboratory tools
> Maintain all equipment to achieve high level of safety and productivity
> Support engineers in running engineering tests for the development of new systems or enhancement of existing systems
> Build new tooling and fixtures if needed for conducting engineering tasks
> Train junior level technicians in the operation and maintenance of equipment
> Procurement of supplies, equipment, and chemicals and maintenance of safe laboratory practices


Education and Experience Desired:

> AA degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience
> Thorough understanding of vacuum pumps, gauges, MFCs, and other laboratory equipment
> Machining, welding, or soldering skills
> Experience with operation and maintenance of thin film processing tools including aligners, ion mills, dicing saws, and thin film deposition systems
> Experience with thin film deposition including e-beam, ion beam, or sputtering systems
> Experience with electrical testing of materials or circuits
> Familiarity with clean room practices
> Knowledge of chemical handling and waste disposal

Equipment Operator Technician
Responsibilities Include:

Maintain production and R&D High Vacuum Deposition process equipment. Work with engineering and technicians to facilitate preventative maintenance programs. Generate schedules and work with teams to troubleshoot failure modes of turbo pumps, cryo pumps and cryo compressors, seals, gate valves, TC’s and any process related equipment instrumentation. Responsible for scheduling maintenance of high-vacuum deposition and process equipment. Establish maintenance routines for all sources, gauges, process shields and materials consumed by process. Maintain all equipment to achieve high level of safety and productivity. Develop and maintain PM list of all process equipment consumables. Build new tooling and fixtures if needed for conducting engineering tasks. Aid procurement planning for supplies, equipment, and chemicals and maintenance of safe laboratory practices. Primary support role in the construction, installation and setup of high vacuum deposition equipment and other laboratory tools.


Education and Experience Desired:

> High School Diploma - Associate Degree or Bachelor equivalent in technical field is preferred
> 5-10 years experience
> Experience in using and implementing CMMS or equivalent software to help manage scheduled PMs for all process equipment.
> Experience with operation and maintenance of thin film processing tools including aligners, ion mills, dicing saws, and thin film deposition systems.
> Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
> Ability to use diagnostic and debugging equipment such as multi-meters, signal generators and power supplies. Experience with electrical testing
    of materials or circuits.
> Must perform tasks in a safe and quality standard at all times.
> Thorough understanding of vacuum pumps, gauges, MFCs, and other laboratory equipment.
> Machining, welding, or soldering skills.

Process Technician Operator
Responsibilities Include:

Operate production and R&D process equipment. Work with engineering and technicians to facilitate production and development runs. Operation and maintenance of high-vacuum deposition equipment. Deposit superconductor films on wire, troubleshoot process equipment and work with process engineering to facilitate planned runs. Maintain all sources, gauges, process shields and materials consumed by process. Maintain all equipment to achieve high level of safety and productivity. Develop and maintain PM list of all consumables. Support engineers in running engineering tests for the development of new systems or enhancement of existing systems. Build new tooling and fixtures if needed for conducting engineering tasks. Train junior level technicians in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Aid procurement of supplies, equipment, and chemicals and maintenance of safe laboratory practices.


Education and Experience Desired:

> High School Diploma - Associate Degree or Bachelor equivalent in technical field is preferred
> 5-10 years experience > Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
